Transport

Since 2004, the KSGR owns 573 km of class II and 1382 km of class III roads as well as 655 bridges. They are administered and maintained through the Košice Region Road Administration (KRRA, Správa ciest KSK). Besides performing tasks in the field of roads, the KRRA responsibilities include railways and road transportation. It grants and withdraws licenses for regular domestic coach transport, approves its timetables, considers and compensates the losses of the public service providers, grants licenses for city railway operators, consults the timetables considering regional aspects and acts as state supervision in the field of city trolley and tram lines.
